The report will be online some time in January and we'll be able to see the extent to which it has been changed.
Haven’t seen it yet, although they have published the countries in the 100,000 club. Anyone else found a full country by country report for 2017?
One small detail the lack of such a report covers up is the fact that over 75% of JWs operate in just 24 countries that contain less than 30% of the world’s population, while just 1% of JWs operate in 41 countries that contain over half the world’s population. Hardly fits with their boast to be preaching the Good News in all the inhabited earth. -

Women must not instruct men, even by singing a theocratic song.
by Ultimate Axiom ini did a quick search and this doesn’t appear to have been commented on here, but if it has been, i apologise in advance for starting an unnecessary thread.. regarding a change to a song title, the study article on page 7 paragraph 17 of november 2017 watchtower explained, “the change of the title “guard your heart” to “we guard our hearts” was most considerate.
in the audience at our meetings, assemblies, and conventions are many new ones, interested ones, young ones, and sisters who by singing the words would be put in the awkward position of telling others what to do.
so the title and the lyrics were modified.”.

But Watchtower has actually watered down the sexism of the Bible, somewhat.
Yea, I guess JW women of today are better off than their first century counterparts. And much better off than their ancient Israelite counterparts. But of course, it’s not because the WT is any more enlightened – they just needed their womenfolk to spread the word, for left to the men alone, the WT would be a fraction of its size.

The more I think about this the more it astonishes me. Even by Watchtower standards, this paranoia that any woman should be seen instructing a man, even in a song, is pretty extreme. What will the GB object to next?

Do you have JW-related dreams (nightmares)?
by compound complex ingreetings, dreamers:.
i guess it's never going away: daytime carryovers of jw-related stuff seeping into my dreams.. the majority of these dreams take place at conventions but with really weird trappings.
last night i dreamed i arrived at the site with no books, no lunch, nothing but my car keys.

It’s been 38 years since I last went on field service, and I still have the occasional dream that I’m on it again. It’s never particularly unpleasant, but it’s weird because the people I’m on the service with I’ve never met before, and I don’t understand why I don’t just tell them all to ef-off. The more unpleasant dreams are those where I’m back at work, with all the stress and pressure that my last decade or so at work gave me. And I retired seven years ago. From those, I do often wake up with a sweat, followed by tremendous relief.
